We make all our own dry food, in-house in the USA, by pet owning experts who take great pride in what they do. In our Meet the Precise Team series, we’ll introduce you to some of the people that make Precise Pet Products run.

Our sales staff is always up on the latest pet food industry news and the healthiest options for your dogs and cats – but Pete Pennell, our western regional sales director, is also a pro at geography. That’s probably because he oversees all of the retailer relationships we have in the western part of the country, and works with Helen Hurd and Tom Ruha to deliver Precise formulations such as our new Precise Holistic Complete to pet owners and their furry friends.

Fifty wackiest pet names of 2010

Not only do we enjoy browsing through the photos in our Pet Zone Image Gallery, we love seeing what Precise customers name their pets. Looking through our photos today, I found Maple, Mischa, KaChow and Xena. Here’s a photo of Maple:

Those are pretty unique for pet names, but they don’t come anywhere close to the Fifty Wackiest Pet Names of 2010, a list put together each year by Veterinary Pet Insurance. VPI’s employees peruse its database of nearly 500,000 insured pets, looking for names that go beyond Fluffy and Lady.
